We spend an awful lot of time growing really good food. So how do we make sure we get to enjoy more of it all year long?

We’ve gathered a wonderful group of experts and friends to show us how.

Molly Bravo of Wylder Space has spent nearly 20 years as a private chef and caterer here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She’s passionate about reconnecting people with real food, local farms, and the kind of kitchen skills that used to be passed from generation to generation. Molly will show us some of her favorite ways to preserve the bounty and make food preservation feel genuinely doable.

Ken Konviser will dive into the delicious possibilities hiding in our persimmons and garden veggies, sharing some of his favorite preservation techniques and incredible recipes.

Victoria Allen is going to introduce us to the magical world of fruit meads and syrups—another wonderfully creative way to capture the flavors of the season.

And because talking about delicious food without eating any would just be cruel…

😋 WE’RE TASTING, TOO!

You’ll get to sample some of the things we’re talking about and head home with a fresh handful of recipes and ideas to try with your own harvest.

Then, when the presentation wraps up…

🛍️ WE’RE HAVING A LITTLE MAKER’S FAIR!

From 3–5 PM, we’re spilling out into the parking lot for an informal CRFG Maker’s Fair.

The Maker’s Fair is FREE and open to everyone—no ticket needed and no attendance limit. So even if you can’t make the presentation, come join us afterward!

Got something you make? Come sell it!

Fresh fruit and veggies? Absolutely.
Dried goodies? Yep.
Baked treats? Sure.
Crafts? Bring ’em.
Plants? Ah heck… plants are always welcome. 🌱

If you’d like to participate, reply privately to this email and let us know what you’d like to bring. Sellers should plan to bring their own table and a tent if they’d like some shade.

One little food-safety note: If you’re selling canned goods, we ask that they be prepared and processed in a commercial kitchen so we can keep everyone safe.

🍎 GOT TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING?

Bring your extras!

We’d love for everyone to bring any surplus fruits and veggies from their gardens to share with the community. We’ll set up a spot where you can leave what you have and take home something someone else grew.

🎟️ GRAB YOUR TICKETS NOW!

We’re limited to just 75 people for the 1–3 PM presentation and tasting. Grab your spot early if you’d like to join us!
